Feeding Therapy

Eating Disorder Therapy

Eating disorder therapy is a specialized form of mental health treatment that helps individuals develop a healthier relationship with food, eating, body image, and themselves. It is designed to support people experiencing conditions such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and other disordered eating patterns.

Therapy focuses on understanding the emotional, psychological, behavioral, and social factors that contribute to eating difficulties. Treatment may include identifying unhelpful thoughts and beliefs, developing coping skills, improving self-esteem, addressing anxiety or depression, and establishing balanced eating habits. Depending on an individual's needs, therapy may involve evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other therapeutic methods.

The goal of eating disorder therapy is not only symptom reduction but also long-term recovery, improved well-being, and a more compassionate relationship with one's body and food. Treatment is often tailored to each person's unique experiences and may be provided alongside nutritional counseling and medical care when appropriate.

Anxiety, Trauma, Depression & Family Conflict

Anxiety, Trauma, Depression, Chronic Illness, Foster youth & Family Conflict

Life is full of ups and downs. The current political climate, unfathomable world catastrophes and uncertainties, the ever-presence of social media, and finding time for balancing needs with pleasures can be all consuming.

We all experience good days and bad days; days where we accomplish our whole to-do list, and days where we can’t get out of bed. At times, symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other stressors become so pervasive that they cause distress and impact day to day functioning. Sometimes you don’t want to talk to your partner, because you want to talk about your partner.

Symptoms of anxiety might show up as unstoppable thoughts, a racing heart, panic, and avoidance of situations that cause anxiety. Depressive symptoms might show up as exhaustion, lack of motivation, irritability, and thoughts of wanting to die. You do not need to go through these times alone.
